Immigration Lawyer Spotlight: 24-hour Super Priority Visa service in Nigeria
UK Visa’s and Immigration (UKVI) launched a fast track visa service in Nigeria on 1 August 2016. The 24-hour Super Priority Visa (SPV) has now extended its services to Nigeria where visa applications can be processed within 24 hours. This was announced by British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright. The new 24-hour SPV in Nigeria costs £750 plus usual visa fees, and is only available to eligible customs in Abuja and Lagos Victoria Island Application Centres. The eligibility routes are for Visitors and for Points Based System Tier 4 applicants (applicants must be legal residents in Nigeria). It is offered alongside the current Priority Visa which includes front of queue processing (5-7 days) and the standard 15-day service.
The UK is the only European country to offer a visa decision in 24 hours.
Prior to applying, you need to register on their website in order to pay the fees. Using the SPV service does not guarantee a visa application will be successful, and the fee is not refunded should the application be unsuccessful. However, if the decision cannot be made in 24-hours, your SPV fee will be refunded and you will be told when to expect a decision.
