Does Entry Clearance as a Parent Lead to Settlement in the UK?

Yes, you may stay in the UK provided you meet the requirements of the next Visa application. To do this, you must be in the country with the Family Visa to the UK for Parents for a qualifying period (usually a minimum of 5 years) before you receive the permanent right to reside (‘indefinite Leave to Remain’). What Charges And Processing Durations Are Involved?

Registration cost of Family Visa UK for Parents depends on the person you visit and your application method. Thus, if you are applying outside the UK, you must pay £1,846. If in the country, the cost is £1,048.

You must also pay an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). For each adult (18 years and over), the cost is £1,035 per year. 

For each child (under 18 years of age), you must pay the IHS fee additionally at £776 per year.
