Artists & Entertainers
For creative professionals performing or working in the UK temporarily or long-term
This category includes multiple visa options depending on activity and duration—such as visits, paid engagements, and temporary worker routes. Those pursuing sustained careers may consider the Global Talent or Skilled Worker visa. Entry is generally from outside the UK and varies based on sponsorship and employment type.

Frontier Worker Permit
For EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals who started working in the UK before 31 December 2020
Allows eligible cross-border workers to continue UK-based work without relocating. Applicants must primarily live outside the UK and work here at least once every 12 months. The permit is free, doesn’t lead to settlement, and doesn’t support dependent applications.

International Sportsperson Visa
For elite athletes and coaches endorsed by their sport’s UK governing body
Allows high-level sports professionals to live and work in the UK for up to three years, extendable. Applicants need sponsorship and may become eligible for settlement after five years. Dependents can join if criteria are met.

Service Providers from Switzerland Visa
For Swiss nationals working on legacy contracts signed before 31 December 2020.
Permits short-term work in the UK (up to 90 days annually) for employees or self-employed Swiss nationals. Only valid under specific pre-Brexit conditions. Does not lead to settlement or allow dependents.

Turkish Businessperson Visa
For Turkish nationals already holding this visa under the Ankara Agreement
Now closed to new applicants, but existing holders can extend. It allows business ownership or partnership and may lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain. Dependent applications and extensions are still permitted under defined rules.

Global Talent Visa
For individuals with exceptional ability in tech, academia, research, or the arts
Allows recognised or emerging leaders to work independently or be employed in their field. Requires endorsement or a prestigious award. Offers flexibility, no sponsorship requirement, and accelerated paths to settlement.
Specialist Work Visas
Specialist work visas cater to individuals with specific skills, professions, or historic agreements, such as global talent, elite sports, the arts, cross-border roles, or legacy EU and Swiss arrangements. These routes often operate outside the standard sponsorship system and may have unique eligibility rules, time limits, or settlement options.
